Volumetric Conversions and Avian Alcoholism

Recent events have led to a concern as to the level of alcohol consumed by Pete. In an effort to educate, as is our core mission, the following information is being shared.

The average parakeet has a body mass of approximately 28 grams, making them equivalent to about 1/2,400th of the average human. Therefore, when Pete consumes a single standard human scale margarita (approximately 16 ounces or 479 milliliters), it is the same as a human drinking 2,400 margaritas, or about the same as standard (300 gallon = 1,136 liter) hot tub.

The more you know...!

  1. You regrettably left out what impact of the likely toxic dose of sodium would have on a bird Pete's size, provided the hot tub filled with margarita has had its outer rim salted.
