In captivity, an adult parakeet only has a lifespan of 5-8 years. I do sympathize, completely, with Petey, but certainly hope that his period of mourning is brief. He only has a few more good years if he ever hopes to find another companion.
Birds are edible.
Petey will be happy when CJ 3D prints his girlfriend. I think she should be purple. :)
